Rosebud has a loaded half term programme for young people covering practical workshops from Dance to Drama and Acting to Discussions on life, relationships and more. 
Annual Christmas Festivities
Listening Ears in our usual fashion, held an annual Christmas party to celebrate 2011 and welcome 2012. The event was held at the Bostall Gardens Centre and included performances and an interactive Q&A session from Rosebud, its department for Teenagers and Young People.
FREE Zumba Dance Classes
ZUMBA Dance is an exhilarating and energetic dance workout that is sure to keep you fit and provides bags of fun. The classes are scheduled into 2 segments with teenagers’ classes running from 5pm – 6pm and Adults 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Classes begin on Friday 2nd September 2011 at our Bostal Gardens Centre.
Rosebud is a project for young ladies between 13 and 19 years old. Its aim is to support, nurture and mentor young ladies in readiness for womanhood in relation to careers, apprentiships, work, learning skills, study, and socially. Young women can benefit from many aspects including:
- Vocational Skills Development
- One-to-One Mentoring
- Healthy Eating & Weight Management
- Confidence Building
- Personal Development
- Creative Writing
- Marketing Yourself (young creatives)
- CV and Interview workshop
- Hair & Beauty Therapy
- Support for teenage mothers

Would you like to make your own jewellery? Rosebud is to hold a FREE short course Jewellery Making on the 1st and 8th of July at the Mulberry Childrens Centre. 4.30pm – 7.30pm
Well being, healthy eating and lifestyle changes is not all about strict rules and unbearable ‘diets’. Rosebud has specifically designed this new Workshop for our participants aged between 13 -19. It encourages creativity in the kitchen and a hands-on approach to cooking healthy meals and shopping within budget. We also cover weight management and provide support with goal setting.

A poem for Valentines Day
Sweet Rose

Oh to be a rose, Silent and Sweet
To be keen in hunger, resonant thunder
Be wept upon, but not to weep
Dried by the sun, warmed by its constant hum and throb
My essence strains, rising up and out of me
Releasing a sound, small labour pains, a scent, a crisp voice on a chilly day, that which you call air.
Knees bare beneath grassy foam, rocks interwoven with bent and bruised legs that they have claimed as their own.
Top soil, I’m free!
Free as the bare shouldered moon and her beautiful garden of molton stars
I dance with the wind if he is gentle
But if he is cruel, I laugh like a sunlit shard, it pierces his heavy cloak, releasing him to higher ground.
